Our Heritage Plant

Prior to the clearing of the old home, we did a thorough check of the grounds to see which plants we wanted to save. We retained two.

Our beloved Prawn Plant (Beloperone guttata) has survived transplanting but has only battled along. It flowers profusely throughout the season but has not flourished. We suspect that the removal of topsoil from our front yard during the building process has been the culprit in the poor performance of our little gem... In fact a number of the plants in our front yard have struggled to establish.

We intend to take cuttings of our Beloperone in the spring time, and attempt to re-establish it in a new location.
